Two storylines - present times and childhood memories of the past - get mixed together in the novel. The main character Simon, his two women and the search for identity are all in the centre of the first storyline, whereas the second story leads a reader to Simon's childhood, describing child's rough collision with reality. In this novel the author tends to consider the issues of eternal values - how do they degenerate. The book is full of both - fantasies and true biographical facts; it contains a frivolous love triangle, a history of a painful father-son relationship, wrecks of a desirable and at the same time unattainable faith, as well as motives of the author's previous books.
- The author is an icon in the contemporary modern Lithuanian literature;
- A dense, multi-layered, provocative novel;
Original structure of the novel;
Each of the author's books receives attention in the press.
