Once upon a time in a jungle far away ten elephants lived happily together. There was Grandma Elephant, Grandpa Elephant, Mama Elephant, Papa Elephant, and six little elephants, who were their parents' and grandparents' pride and joy.

One day all ten elephants in the Elephant family decided to go visiting to see another family of ten elephants. Mama Elephant led them all, because in elephant families Mamas and Grandmas always come first. Papa Elephant walked behind Mama Elephant. Then came the six little elephants, lined up biggest to smallest. Grandpa Elephant and Grandma Elephant took up the rear. All ten elephants went visiting.

The Elephant family had walked barely twenty steps forwards when Grandma Elephant ran into a few of her elephant friends. She had been friends with them ever since kindergarten, so of course she had to stop for a chat. Nine elephants went visiting.
